AMINA

Amina is a 24-year-old student from Mombasa, passionate about Swahili poetry and cuisine. She is pursuing a degree in linguistics and works part-time at a local cultural center, where she teaches visitors how to prepare Swahili delicacies like pilau and mahamri. Amina often participates in mashairi (poetry) competitions and writes about themes of love, community, and the ocean. She believes learning Swahili is the key to understanding the warmth and hospitality of East African culture and enjoys helping language learners connect with the spirit of "ujamaa" (community).

JUMA

Juma Mwinyi is a 32-year-old safari guide from Arusha, Tanzania, with a passion for wildlife and storytelling. Having grown up near the Serengeti, Juma developed a deep connection with nature and the environment. He has led countless tourists on unforgettable safaris and enjoys teaching them Swahili phrases to enhance their experience. Juma’s dream is to create a complete course for learners of Swahili. In his free time, he also enjoys crafting traditional beaded bracelets and sharing his adventures through social media.
